Summary
The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts released its most recent report on caseload information this week. The report reflects the work of federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts, as well as the federal probation and pretrial system in categorized data for the year ending June 30.
Regionally, the Second Circuit received a total of 5,371 appeals, down from 5,747 in 2009 and continuing a downward trend (the Second Circuit received 7,035 filings in 2005).
