Monroe County Court Judge Marilyn O'Connor noted that history contains many stories about men. But women have been a part of the great American fabric and we shouldn't lose sight of their contributions.

To ensure that contemporary female history makers are recognized, Judge O'Connor launched the Herstory lecture series in 2004, and kicked off the 2005 series, introducing New York State's Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye as the keynote speaker for a lunchtime event sponsored by the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys on Feb. 24. This was the first in a series of three Herstory lectures, organized by a GRAWA committee chaired by Judge O'Connor.
