Six law guardians from the Fifth, Seventh and Eighth Judicial Districts were presented with the Hon. Michael F. Dillon Law Guardian Award at a special ceremony held at the Appellate Division, Fourth Department on Tuesday, June 20.

The award honors those law guardians who have shown a commitment and dedication to the children they represent in custody, foster care, abuse, neglect and family court cases. The award was created and named after Judge Michael F. Dillon, a former presiding justice in the Fourth Department who initiated mandatory training for law guardians in the state.
