Construction Inputs Spike in June
For the month of June, Construction input prices jumped 10.4 percent from June 2007 -- the largest year-over-year increase in more than 20 years, according to U.S. Labor Department's most recent Producer Price Index. Monthly data show inputs to construction industries rose 1.8 percent since May, and were up 5.7 percent over the three-month period from April to June.
